Immunizations are an essential part of protecting your child’s health from devastating diseases. It is up to you as a parent to make sure you child is up to date on the immunizations that spare them from illness and injury. Since you know the importance of making sure your child gets the required immunizations— why not receive them in the most convenient and inexpensive way?
Immunization services are offered several times each month at the health center. Residents may choose from one of three monthly immunizations clinics to receive the required shots. Immunizations are administered according to recommendations of the Missouri Department of Health and the American Academy of Pediatrics. You can receive all the immunizations your child needs at the health center at no out of pocket cost to you. No appointments are necessary, just come to one of the immunization clinics held each month.
All of our immunization clinics are held on a walk in basis and no appointment is necessary. Simply come during one of our three monthly immunization clinics during the times listed. Any child under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will be asked to sign in and at that time you will be given an authorization form to fill out, giving us permission to vaccinate your child. You will be given Vaccine Information Sheets (VIS) for each vaccine your child will receive that contain information about the disease and the vaccine. Feel free to discuss with the nurses any concerns or questions you may have regarding your child's vaccinations.
Once your child has received vaccinations at our clinic we will notify you by postcard when your child is due for their next immunization.
In order for us to immunize your child we must have a parents authorization. If you, as a parent, are unable to bring your child to the immunization clinic and would like someone else to bring your child, we still must have your signature on the authorization form in order to vaccinate your child. You may come to our office in advance and fill out the paperwork ahead of time, or take the forms home and send them back signed with the child and the responsible adult you have chosen to bring your child. You may also print out the authorization form and fill it out and send with the child.
