If you are currently a WIC client here at the Livingston County Health Center and you are not able to make your appointment, be sure to call ahead and let us know so we can reschedule your appointment. If you miss your appointment we cannot guarantee you will be able to receive your WIC checks on a walk-in basis, so be sure to call and we can arrange a time that will work for you. We do not do WIC everyday at the Health Center so it's best to call ahead if you've missed an appointment. WIC is a supplemental food program and isn't meant to provide all the formula or foods your child may need. During your pregnancy, breastfeeding is encouraged but if you plan on using formula, it is recommended that you purchase some formula to last until we are able to add your child to the WIC program.
If you have any questions feel free to contact us by phone at 660-646-5506 or email.
You should receive a reminder call the day before your appointment so be sure to let us know if you change your phone number.Your appointment date and time should also be written on the inside of your folder.
When you arrive for your appointment be sure to come on time with all needed paperwork filled out and bring all proofs as required. If the appointment is for a child, be sure to bring the child with you.
If you are being added to the WIC program or if you have a reassessment or recertification appointment for your child, you should have been given forms to be filled out and brought back for your appointment. If you have misplaced the forms please stop by our office or call and we can mail you the forms.Having the forms completed will help make your WIC appointment go much faster.
Did you know you can do your WIC Nutrition Education Classes Online?
Go to the following website -WIC Families - Education Components and follow the simple instructions for completing the class. You will be asked to print and bring the certificate to your next WIC appointment. If you do not bring the certificate you will not receive credit for completing the WIC class and will need to attend the nutrition education class at the Health Center.
